Quality has been a
Nypro priority through all of the company's history.
Nypro was founded as Nylon Products Inc. in 1955, to mold the new, highly
engineered DuPont Nylon material that was confounding many molders at the time.
Nylon Products condensed its name to Nypro in 1977 as the number of
materials being molded grew, but the commitment to engineered quality lived on.
Nypro has a full-time Quality staff at the corporate level, in each region, and
at each of the 49 plants. Over 100 Quality professionals direct the activities
of hundreds more who build quality into every product we produce.
Nypro was the first molding company to espouse CpK2 quality standards, and has
been a leader in Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO 9000, ISO 13485, TS
16949 quality standards, and ISO 14,000 environmental standards.

For many years, Nypro has conducted a Customer Satisfaction Survey to determine
how customers react to Nypro and what changes need to be made.
The Nypro Worldwide Quality System (NWQS) is Nypro's Global Quality Management
System. NWQS is a web-based electronic quality system that provides global
standardization across all Nypro facilities. Key processes that are controlled
within NWQS include:

In addition to the above capabilities, NWQS also contains all documentation
related to the Nypro Operating Way (NOW).

Documentation provides appropriate Corporate Policy and guidance
to all Nypro locations, fostering a global reliability and repeatability. |

An application called Quality Knowledge
allows the user to access standard system reports containing information in the
Nypro Worldwide Quality System, and to combine that information with other
sources. |

Key to the Nypro online Quality System is a feature that allows each of Nypro's
49 facilities in 16 countries to access information created by any other Nypro
facility, real-time. Anyone needing to address a quality issue can access all
of the information that other plants have created and accumulated on that
issue.

| Furthering this commitment, we recognize the importance of
delivering products that are bound for European Community markets that comply
with European Community Directive 2002/95/EC (a/k/a "RoHS": Restrictions
of Hazardous Substances) and European Community Directive 2002/96/EC (a/k/a "WEEE":
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment). |

| Specifically, RoHS calls for the elimination of the use of the
following environmentally hazardous substances in electrical and electronic
equipment placed in the market after July 1, 2006: |

| We will continue to supply our customers who are exempt from
these requirements with exempted products to meet their needs. |

| We will continue to assist our non-exempt customers in
converting their product offerings to comply with these requirements and to
achieve certification of their products as "green products" (i.e. products not
containing more than the maximum permissible levels of halogenated and antimony
compounds as raw materials). Please contact your local sales representative and
inform them of your conversion plans so that we may include them in our
capacity planning for compliant products. |
